Mary holds a Master’s of Physiotherapy from UBC. Her clinical interests include postural alignment, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as pre and post-natal care (women’s health). She draws from her extensive background in yoga therapy and shiatsu massage to support clients recovering from injury, repetitive strain and dysfunction, using manual therapy, dry needling (IMS), core stabilization, and motor retraining with injury specific exercises.
Mary was a competitive athlete in her youth and though she still plays basketball and soccer with her two little monkeys, her other true loves are yoga, running, meditation and salsa dancing. (Fun fact: she speaks fluent Spanish and once worked in Peru in the field of international development). Mary believes that manual therapy as well as awareness and empowerment through knowledge and active rehabilitation, lead to optimal recovery and performance. She is excited about meeting you where you’re at in recovering function, relieving pain, and discovering new potential.
